PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna having a volume substantially equal to that of a conventional antenna in which the gain can be enhanced while ensuring a wide band. SOLUTION: The antenna comprises a reflector, first and second dipole antenna elements, and first and second parasitic elements wherein each parasitic element has a first end part parallel with the first dipole antenna element, a second end part parallel with the second dipole antenna element, and a part for coupling the first and second end parts such that the open ends of the first and second end parts are directed in the same direction. The first and second parasitic elements are arranged while facing the open ends of the first and second end parts each other and each parasitic element satisfies a relation 0.5λ<=L<=λ, where L is the length along the first and second end parts and the center of the coupling part in the widthwise direction, andλis the free space wavelength of working frequency.
