PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for performing editing and reproduction so as to avoid generation of abnormal noise with respect to a compressed signal where the data of a corresponding frame exist ahead of a frame header. SOLUTION: When audio data 1 are divided at a division point D, a frame 4 being the first frame of audio data 3 is connected to audio data 2. In the case of single reproduction, the audio data 2 are reproduced up to a frame 3, and the audio data 3 are reproduced from the frame 4. When the audio data 3 is reproduced, following the audio data 2, the last frame of the audio data 2 is compared with the first frame of the audio data 3, and reproduction is conducted from the frame 4, when the last frame coincides with the first frame. When the last frame does not coincide with the first frame, reproduction is conducted from the frame, in which the data needed by a frame in the audio data 3 exist in the audio data 3.
