The fuel-container (3) open at the top and to the bottom of which fuel is supplied is connected to a primary air flow (4). One section of the fuel container supports an upward widening top part enclosing the fuel-container for secondary air flow. The top part forms a distributor (18) for gas currents with a top, upward tapering section (22) adjoining a bottom, upward-widening section (21) . The distributor contains ash-outlets (23). At least one secondary air nozzle (5) across the flow of flue gas opens into the distributor.
