TETRAPEPTIDE STIMULATING FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITY OF HEPATOCYTES AND ITS THERAPEUTICAL USE

The invention refers to a tetrapeptide lysyl-glutamyl-aspartyl-alanine of th e general formula Lys-Glu-Asp-Ala, which is used in a pharmaceutical compositi on capable of stimulating the functional activity of hepatocytes. Moreover, a method of stimulating the functional activity of hepatocytes is proposed including therapeutic administration of the pharmaceutical peptide substance in doses ranging from 0.01 to 100 .mu.g/kg of the body weight at least once a day during a period required for attaining a therapeutic effect.
