The door (46) when open frees part of a housing (11) sidewall and the adjoining lid (28) part and has a first door leaf on roof part side and second leaf of wider size hinged to the first leaf. The edge of the first leaf furthest from the second leaf is hinged to the lid as opposed to the second door leaf which runs on a guide rail made up of one straight sector parallel to the side part being covered and a second sector adjoining the housing lid (18). The door leaf riding the guide rail can be arrested in optional intermediate positions, possibly using self-braking. The tool spindle (38) swings round a horizontal axis and draws tools (36) horizontally out of a tool magazine arranged below the spindle. Worktable (22) swivels round a vertical axis within the housing and has two work (32,34) cradles (26,28).
