The frame has two fixed double stays (7) looped around the bottom bracket tube (1) to replace conventional chain stays. The stays are of metal or laminate fiber material. The space between upper and lower stay parts (7a,b) is enclosed to form a single large-volume stay. Cross bar (3) and down tube (4) are connected to each other behind the steering tube (5). The steering tube, or its two parts, are pushed through cross bar and down tube and fixed in place. The diameters of all main frame tubes are dimensioned so that they can be plugged into each other and fixed by adhesive sockets.
