<p>The invention relates to a method and a machine for manufacturing an auxiliary element for the production of an outer enveloping element for covering a mattress, comprising a layer (3) of foam rubber and a layer (4) of textile fiber bonded to a covering fabric (5) and involving the following steps: defibering and cutting material recovered from used outer enveloping elements (6) for covering mattresses and/or the wastes of new enveloping elements (6), the size of the foam rubber pieces obtained in the defibered and cut material (6a) providing a soft consistency; extending the defibered and cut material (6a) as a blanket (11) thereby forming a layer of soft material; depositing a thin foam rubber layer (12) on said blanket (11); depositing a layer of textile fiber (13) on said thin foam rubber layer (12); and consolidating by punching or by sewing together the floats to form a bonding of said blanket (11), layer (12) and layer (13), thereby obtaining a manipulable auxiliary element (14) that can be subsequently bonded to a covering fabric (15).</p> |
