The plasticizer (3) extrudes melt into an injection unit (4) which accepts, doses and injects it into a sealed cavity of the hollow metal body, through a casting bush (15) applied to it. A workpiece holder (5) for the hollow metal component, is heated to the melt temperature. It retains the component in the injection- and cooling position. A cooling unit is provided for the product.
