When it is judged that a read request is made, it is judged whether or not the designated read address is in a specific area. If the address is in the specific area, the processing is ended, that is, the processing is ended without read. If the address is not in the specific area, data at the designated address of a memory is read, and the read data is sent to a host device. After the read, for example, the read address stored in a register is written in the specific area. In the specific area, the address from which data is read is additionally recorded. Thus, the data that has been read cannot be accessed by the host device.
