Cosmetic emulsions with improved tactile properties and skin take-up speed contain polymer lattices derived from strongly acidic monomers with weakly acidic or neutral comonomers

Polymer lattices in cosmetic emulsions also containing oils and emulsifiers are obtained by condensation exclusively from monomers with strongly acidic functions together with comonomers which either have weak acid functions or react neutrally. An Independent claim is also include for the production of cosmetic O/W emulsions containing latex-type polymers by mixing an organic phase containing an oil and W/O emulsifiers with an aqueous phase containing a monomer (M1) with a strongly acidic function together with comonomer (M2) having a weak acid functionality, and phase inversion polymerizing the obtained W/O emulsion.
