The invention relates to a mounting cage (1) for computer components (6, 7), e.g. such as disk drives or similar, comprising a base wall (2), two lateral walls (3, 4) and screw eyelets (12) for fixing the components (6, 7). The screw eyelets (12) are positioned so that they project out from the lateral walls (3, 4) towards the interior to such an extent that an air gap is formed at the side of said eyelets, between the components to be housed (6, 7) and the lateral walls (3 and 4).
