摘要 <p>An exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine, comprising a particulate filter (6) disposed in an engine exhaust system (3), a fresh air amount detection means (5) for detecting the amount of fresh air led into an engine intake system (2), a throttle valve control means for increasing the opening of a throttle valve (4) to a set opening in response to a fuel cut command, a captured particulate amount estimating means for estimating the amount of particulate captured by the particulate filter by comparing the fresh air amount detected by the fresh air amount detection means with a reference value after the opening of the throttle valve is set to the set opening by the throttle valve control means, and a defective generated output detection means for detecting a detected generated output such that a generated engine output increases abnormally, wherein, when the defective generated output is detected by the defective generated output detection means, the operation to increase the opening of the throttle valve by the throttle valve control means is stopped.</p>
