<p>The invention relates to a method of inactivating micro-organisms present in a liquid containing stem cells, where the method comprises the steps of -combining said liquid with a photosensitiser, and -activating the photosensitiser. In accordance with the present invention, a positively-charged sensitizer is used having a defined structure. Surprisingly, the use of these compounds minimize the damage to the stem cells.</p> |
