A shut-off arrangement for a water cooler of a car has a shut-off device and an electric fan which are fastened to a frame that is mounted behind the water cooler. The shut-off device contains radially arranged flaps that are located with pegs outside in a shut-off ring and inside in a bearing ring, furthermore engaging with adjusting pegs in an adjusting ring. The adjustment can be rotated by an operating device to pivot the flaps into an open or closed position. The shut-off device is arranged between the frame (1) and the electric fan (4). The adjusting pegs (9) are mounted behind the bearing pegs (6) whereby the adjusting ring (10) is arranged behind the plane of the bearing ring of the flaps (5).
