The device uses an image screen (1), e.g. a liquid crystal matrix, which is subjected to a longitudinal HF oscillation movement within a vacuum space (3) via an oscillation drive (6), with partial images of the overall image provided in synchronism with the image screen movement, for providing an overall image with a 3-dimensional effect.
