A probe for removing and determining volatile components from gases and liquids during heat treating processes comprises an inner tube (2), a middle tube (3) and an outer tube (4). The inner tube and the middle tube extend from a fixing flange (5) so that the inner tube terminates within the middle tube. An adapter (18) is arranged on the flange to receive a measuring gas outlet (20) and forms a measuring chamber (17) between the end of the inner tube and the middle tube. A sensor (9) is arranged within the measuring chamber. The measuring chamber and a chamber (12) formed by the outer wall (13) of the middle tube and the inner wall (14) of the outer tube are fluidly connected together. Preferred Features: The outer tube extends over the length of the middle tube. A pump (P) is formed in the connection between the outer tube and the middle tube.
