<p>An accelerator pedal device, comprising an accelerator pedal (10), a pedal arm (20), a pedal shaft (30) swingably supporting the pedal arm, a return spring (40), a frictional force generating mechanism (50) generating a frictional force according to the movement of the pedal arm, an accelerator position sensor (60), and a control part (70) controlling the opening of a throttle valve (110) based on an output signal from the sensor (60), wherein a play area not generating a frictional force of a specified level or higher within the range of the pedal arm moving by a specified amount from a rest position is provided in the frictional force generating mechanism (50), and an output from the accelerator position sensor (60) is set at a constant in the play area to hold the opening of the throttle valve at a constant, whereby an excellent operating feeling without discomfortable feeling can be provided while reducing the size of the accelerator pedal device.</p> |
