A tank is fitted with a large brine/waste water heat exchanger (1) and a second (2) for warm air (from washing driers and other domestic appliances)/waste water. In the second exchanger air heat is transferred to the waste water cooled by the first heat exchanger. A system of float switches (3,4) and valves (6,7) maintains the correct working levels whilst a thermostat (15) turns off the heat pump if the water is cooled below a set value. |
