A casting material (I) based on a chemically-curing resin, especially for the insulation of electrical components, contains: (A) an epoxy resin component; (B) a silicone-containing component; (C) a filler; and (D) an initiator, and is workable as a one-component system. An Independent claim is also included for a method for the production of moulded parts, especially for the insulation of electrical components, by introducing (I) into a casting mould as a 1-component system, gelling at elevated temperature and hardening at an even higher temperature.
