<p>A set top box (102) for an interactive TV system receives a TV signal and TV program schedule information. The set top box (102) transmits the TV program schedule information to a remote control (204) using a wireless transmission method. The remote control (204) uses the TV program schedule information to generate an interactive EPG (240) on a display device (220) intergrated with the remote control (204). The remote control (204) may also receive the TV program schedule information from a network, such as the Internet, and then a user can control the set top box (102) or other device using controls (234) added to the schedule information received from the network.</p> |
