PURPOSE: A remote control system and method is provided to enable an IPAC(Internet Protocol Adaptor and Converter) to interface with all the peripheral devices electrically connected, to send programmed commands to target devices based on the internet protocol, and to receive control results to a server. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises an IPAC(800), and a server(900) connected to the IPAC(800). The IPAC(800) is connected to a computer(100), an industrial controller(300), a tank monitor(400), a sensor(500), a temperature sensor(600), and a bending machine(700). The server(900) is connected to a fax(1000), a phone(1100), a pager(1200), a computer(1300), an alarm(1400) and a plurality of clients(1500). The IPAC(800) assembles data from the peripherals(100-700), and transmits the data to the server(900) over the internet. The server(900) analyzes the data, and sends the analysis result to the clients via the peripherals(1000-1400). The clients(1500) access the server(900) if necessary, browses system data or transmits a control command.
