The clamp comprises a base 35, cover 37, a projection 43 extending from the base towards the cover and a pair of cantilevers 83, symmetrically positioned on the cover and extending towards the base. The base has a bottom 49 and two sidewalls 51, with the cover 37 integrally hinged to one of the sidewalls. The flat cable 39 has a slit 99 located in the web 97 between the conductors 95, and the projection is located in the slit to limit longitudinal movement of the cable relative to the clamp. Cantilevers 83 hold down the top surface of the cable when the cover is closed. A clip 42 extending from the bottom of the base allows the clamp to be attached to, for example, an automobile body. Several cables may be inserted in the clamp. |
