PURPOSE: A heat exchanger is provided to improve efficiency of heat exchange by increasing quantity of heat exchanged between cooling medium and refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: Fins(3) are formed on peripheries of tubes(2) to increase area for heat exchange. The tubes are inserted into the fins in multiple rows and columns at regular intervals and at least one of the tubes are removed in each rows and columns to form passages so that heat exchange occurs in a position where flowing velocity of air is high. The tubes are removes in each rows crosswise for a heat exchanger, bent to fit in an insertion position in an air conditioner, to keep bending strength to prevent damage of the heat exchanger on bending.
