PURPOSE: A data communication method for a wireless communication terminal is provided to conveniently perform a conversation to a facsimile mode after a voice call mode by performing a data transmission to a receipt-side terminal and by performing the conversion to the facsimile based on a modem connection request signal(ATD) command and a command received to one's own telephone, and by performing data receipt. CONSTITUTION: An ATD and a termination-side telephone number are transmitted from a data terminal to a mobile communication terminal(S102,S103). If a connection request signal is permitted and a communication path is set in a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network), an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) notifies traffic channel connection to the data terminal through the corresponding mobile communication terminal for occupying a BTS(Base Transceiver Station) through a BSC(Base Station Controller)(S104). If the data terminal transmits data, the mobile communication terminal transmits the transmitted data to the BSC/MSC through the BTS, and the MSC and an IWF(Inter Working Function) transmits the data to a facsimile connected to the PSTN(S105).
