PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting TFCI(Transport Format Combination Indicator) bits according to split modes are provided to transmit scheduling information from a Mac-c to a Mac-d in case that a DRNC(Drift Radio Network Controller) is separated from an SRNC(Serving Radio Network Controller) in a communication system using a logical split method. CONSTITUTION: In case that DSCH(Downlink Shared CHannel) data to be transmitted are generated, an RLC(Radio Link Control) in an SRNC transmits the DSCH data to the Mac-d of the SRNC(401). The Mac-d transmits the DSCH data to the Mac-c of the SRNC(402). The Mac-c determines the scheduling of the DSCH data and transmits the determined scheduling information and a TFCI for the DSCH data to the Mac-d(403). Then the Mac-c transmits the DSCH data to L1 of node B(404). The Mac-d transmits the TFCI and the scheduling information of the DSCH data to L1 of node B before the DSCH data are transmitted from the Mac-c(405). The Mac-d determines DCH(Dedicated CHannel) data and a TFI for the DCH data and transmits them to L1 of node B(406).
