PURPOSE: Provided are an aliphatic poly(alkylene carbonate-lactide) copolymer having excellent biodegradable property and a process for producing the copolymer by using carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION: The aliphatic poly(alkylene carbonate-lactide) copolymer represented by the formula 3 is produced by terpolymerizing the carbon dioxide, alkylene oxide represented by the formula 1, and lactide represented by the formula 2 in the presence of a catalyst, wherein the catalyst is zinc glutarate. The aliphatic poly(alkylene carbonate-lactide) copolymer has a molecular weight of 1,000-2,000,000. In the formula, x and y are each integers of less than 2,000, n is an integer, wherein n=(z-x-y), and z is an integer of less than 20,000.
