<p>A welded drum, consisting of a cylindrical jacket (1) and two faces (2), is produced in such a manner that first, a half of a ring (4) with three distance plates (3) projecting radially outward from the ring (4) center above outer surface of the jacket (1) or cylindrical portion of the face is pressed into inner diameter at the edge of the jacket (1) inner surface or inner surface of the face (2) cylindrical portion, whereupon an edge of the face (2) cylindrical portion inner surface or the edge of the jacket (1) inner surface is pressed onto the second half of the ring (4) and subsequently adjacent welding surfaces (6) of the jacket (1) and the face (2) are joined along the circumference by a set of partial welds, whereby portions of the distance plates (3) protruding above both the jacket (1) and face (2) outer surface are removed prior execution of a complete all-round weld (8) of both the jacket (1) and face (2) adjacent welding surfaces (6).</p> |
