PURPOSE: A method for controlling indoor fan of multi split type air conditioner is provided to prevent increase of load on compressor, lowering of discharge temperature of indoor units, and dewing by increasing blast capacity of the indoor fans more as number of the indoor units on operation is smaller. CONSTITUTION: Blast capacity of indoor fans is increased more as number of indoor units(n) on operation is smaller. The indoor fans have multi-steps of blast capacity of which a user chooses. As the number of the indoor units on operation gets smaller, the blast capacity is increased by certain ratio for each step of blast capacity in such a way that when the number of the indoor units is between 5 and 10, the blast capacity is Q2, Q3, Q4 for weak, middle and strong wind mode the user chooses while the number is more than 15, the blast capacity is Q1, Q2, Q3, respectively.
