External gas burner (1) comprises a burner plate (4) and several adjacent first outlet openings for a combustion gas and second outlet openings (13) for oxygen or air. The first outlet openings are formed by one end of a combustion pipe (12) of a number of such pipes which are connected with the other end to a connection (10) for feeding in the combustion gas. At least one part of the second outlet openings at least partly surrounds at least one combustion pipe in the region of its end. Preferred Features: The second outlet openings surround the combustion pipe in a ring-like manner. Bores or openings are provided in the burner plate. |
