PURPOSE: A device contact apparatus of a horizontal tester handler is provided to minimize a cycle time according to a test, by classifying a tested device to an unloading unit while a pusher presses the device loaded to a socket during the test and by making another device absorbed and standby in the upper portion of the socket. CONSTITUTION: A penetration hole is so formed that the terminal of the socket is exposed upward. A stopper is installed on a side surface of an install plate(7). A slider(8) is installed in the install plate, capable of horizontally transferring. A moving-up/down unit(12) is installed in the slider, capable of moving up/down in the slider. The pusher(14) pressures the device loaded to the inside of the socket, fixed in the moving-up/down unit. A plurality of links(11) convert a straight line motion of the slider to a vertical motion of the moving-up/down unit, hinge-coupled between the slider and the moving-up/down unit. An elastic unit(15) restores the moving-up/down unit, installed between the slider and the moving-up/down unit. A drive unit(16) makes the slider move forward/backward, fixed in the install plate.
