<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple means for analyzing aristolochic acid. SOLUTION: This monoclonal antibody belongs to a subclass of IgG2b, hasκlight chain and specifically reacts with aristolochic acid. The anti-aristolochic acid monoclonal antibody is obtained by fusing an antibody-forming cell of an animal (preferably mouse) immunized against an aristolochic acid-serum albumin complex, which is obtained by reacting aristolochic acid with bovine or human serum albumin, with a myeloma cell to give a hydridoma, selectively culturing the hybridoma, screening and cloning the hydridoma for producing the monoclonal antibody against aristolochic acid. Aristolochic acid can be simply determined in high sensitivity by applying the monoclonal antibody to an immunoassay method such as ELISA method.</p> |
