METHOD FOR REDUCING VOLUME OF ORGANIC SLUDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively and efficiently decomposing and deodorizing organic matter in sludge by simple equipment and capable of reducing the volume of sludge by sufficiently removing moisture. SOLUTION: It is found that the decomposition of organic matter and the removal of moisture can be efficiently performed by combining a process for the fermentative decomposition of organic sludge and a process for aerating sludge subjected to fermentative treatment.
