PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a moisture conditioning material which is easy in handling during transportation, storage and preparation and is excellent in use performance. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the powder and granular moisture conditioning material having a moisture conditioning material function includes a process step (a) of subjecting raw material containing an inorganic moisture conditioning material and an inorganic binder component to wet process pulverizing, a process step (b) of granulating the material subjected to the wet process pulverizing by spray drying, and a process step (c) of firing the granules at 650 to 1,000 deg.C.
