PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core fixing mechanism of a core support shaft capable of reliably maintaining a core in a coaxial manner with a hollow support shaft, relatively simple in structure, less in failure and easy in maintenance. SOLUTION: This core fixing mechanism of the core support shaft comprises holes 16 arranged in a plurality of rows at a predetermined angular spacing in the hollow support shaft 1 around the axis in the longitudinal direction, a plurality of lugs 15 individually accommodated in each hole 16, a plurality of lug push-up bodies 17 arranged corresponding to each of the holes 16, movable bars 18 slidably piercing the plurality of lug push-up bodies 17, an inclined surface 19 for pushing up each lug which is formed to be gradually lowered in the advancing direction of the movable bar 18 at a place corresponding to the holes 16 of each lug push-up bodies 17, an elastic device 20 provided on the movable bar 18 for each lug push-up body 17 to elastically transmit the thrust in the advancing direction of the movable bar 18 to the lug push-up body 17, an engagement part 21 provided ion the movable bar for each lug push-up body 17 to transmit the thrust in the retracting direction of the movable bar 18 to the lug push-up body 17, and a movable bar moving mechanism 22 for advancing the movable bar 18 from the waiting position when maintaining the core and for returning the movable bar 18 to the waiting position when releasing the core.
