PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the noise of a motor-driven reel for fishing. SOLUTION: A power transmission belt 7 extended between a motor-side pulley 5 and a spool-side pulley 6 is used as a mechanism for the power transmission to a reel spool 3 for winding a fishing line. The cog of the belt 7 has a helical form to reduce the noise in driving. An aramid fiber core 13 is embedded in the belt 7 to increase the flexibility and improve the durability. The circumferential length of the belt is set to be longer than the circumferential length between the pulleys 5, 6 to compensate the shrinkage of the aramid fiber with water. A slack-preventing pin 15 is provided to achieve sure transmission of power.
