PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety rotary saw for cutting branch capable of cutting branches of a tree even at a high place in a safe, easy and speedy manner. SOLUTION: Polygonal pipes 15, 22, 23 having different sizes are fixed in stretchable round pipes 4, 7, 9 as follows: the round pipes 4, 7, 9 are fixed to the outer diameters of bearings 16, 18, 20 at their at-hand positions; the polygonal pipes 15, 22, 23 are fixed to the inner diameters of the bearings 16, 18, 20 at their at-hand positions with polygonal pipe-bearing connection fittings 17, 19, 21; and thus the front round pipe 9 and polygonal pipe 23, the middle round pipe 7 and polygonal pipe 22, and the at-hand round pipe 4 and polygonal pipe 15 are each fixed at the at-hand positions. With this structure, the torque of an engine 1 at hand is transmitted to a saw 11 at the front end, at any distance. Placing an at-hand saw safety-stopper 12 and a front saw safety- stopper 13 on the saw 11, the unstably positioned saw 11 can be fixed stably on a branch to cut it.
