PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator that blows gas radially without connecting a tube thereto. SOLUTION: A pressure cylinder 42 of a hybrid inflator 40 is charged with propellant and high-pressure gas, and is provided with an initiator 44 at one end and a gas jet port 48 in the tip face of an end cap 46 at the other end. An inflator cap 50 has gas ports in the periphery. A casing 54 is fitted about the hybrid inflator 40 coaxially with the cylinder 42, and is provided with gas jet ports 50 in the periphery. The inner circumference of the casing 54 and the outer circumference of the cylinder 42 define a gas passage 58 in between. |
