PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn on a room lamp during traveling at night in a lighting system for vehicle cabin. SOLUTION: When it is detected that a tail lamp is lit with a tail lamp switch 33, a room lamp 2 is always lit at a luminance lower than a designated value with PWM control of ECU 1. When it is detected that a vehicle speed is 0 with a vehicle speed sensor 34, the room lamp 2 is lit at a luminance higher than that during traveling by changing ON duty ratio. When it is detected that AT shift position is in 'Parking' with an inhibitor switch 31, the room lamp 2 is lit at the maximum level of luminance.
