PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cutter to finish the cut part of a tape in fine workmanship in such a way that the tip of the cutting edge set into the range- out portion of decoration tape is abutted to the hold-down surface of a pressing piece abutted to the tape exterior surface so that the cutting edge is stabilized and the tape range-out portion is cut off in such a manner as pinched by the cutting edge and pressing piece. SOLUTION: The body 2 and pressing piece 3 are coupled together in such a manner as capable of contacting and separating, and the hold-down surface 3a formed on the pressing piece 3 is positioned right over the abutting surface 2a of the body 2 in such a way as intersecting perpendicularly, and the tip 11 of the cutting edge 5 set over the abutting surface is inclined relative to the hold-down surface 3a and protruded to over the body, wherein it is made practicable for the maximum protruding part of the tip to abut to the hold-down surface 3a.
