PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain paint waste with predetermined moisture content by a simple method to easily dry the paint waste. SOLUTION: The load of a drive part for driving a stirring means is detected after a predetermined time is elapsed from the start of drying and, when the detected load is less than the preset load of the drive part, the drying of paint waste is completed for a predetermined drying time and, when the detected load exceeds the preset load of the drive part, the treatment time until the detected load becomes less than the preset load after the predetermined time is elapsed is measured and a drying time is added to the measured treatment time to extend the time up to the completion of drying.
