PURPOSE: A method for transmitting discard information of a time based service data unit is provided, which reduces the amount of signals required in sending discard information, and also increases the efficiency of the whole radio resources. CONSTITUTION: According to the method for transmitting discard information of a time based service data unit(SDU) in a radio link control(RLC) layer, a transceiver side checks whether protocol data units(PDU) corresponding to a service data unit are transmitted if the time limit of the service data unit is passed. If even one of the corresponding protocol data unit is not transmitted, the service data unit is discarded without informing a receiving side. If a sequence number of a protocol data unit corresponding to a service data unit to transmit after the discard is required, it is retransmitted.
