PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for treating a keratinic material, especially the hair, to deform it permanently, a composition instantly usable for it and a kit containing sections which separates various compositions needed for the treatment. SOLUTION: A two-stage treating method suitable for deforming and/or shaping a keratinic material, especially the hair comprising: applying a reductive composition containing an organic absorbent besides a reducing agent; subsequently, applying a neutralizing composition optionally after rinsing; and rinsing the keratinic material thus treated.
