PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen support member capable of freely horizontally adjusting a position of a lifting device suspending a screen for a paper stock screener. SOLUTION: In this lifting device, an upper end part of a screen container 17 is installed with support metal fittings 21a, 21b, and the support metal fittings 21a, 21b are rotatably installed with a support arm 22 which is provided in a lower end part of the support member 100. The support arm 22 supports a lower support 101 and an upper support 102, a connection part of the lower support 101 and the upper support 102 is provided with a rotational joint part A, and the upper support 102 is rotatably connected to the lower support 101. Thereby, a horizontal position of a chain block 24 installed to the support member 100 can be subtly adjusted.
