PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable winding device improved in convenience by drawing a drawing cable from either of both end terminals almost without expecting a non-drawing cable seen on a conventional non-contact type cable winding device, capable of optionally setting the maximum drawing length of the drawing cable and large in freedom in designing. SOLUTION: Multistage variable shaft pulleys 12-16 and multistage fixed shaft pulleys 20-24 are radially arranged in a star shape on two concentric circles in and out of the inside of a winding case 11. One cable winding drum around which the cable 30 is wound by making externally contact with it is formed of each of these pulleys. The cable 30 is shaped in a headband by being plurally wound around, can be drawn out from either of the cable drawing terminals 30A, 30B and can be rewound. The multistage variable shaft pulleys 12-16 move in the central direction where a circumscribed shape of the cable suspended on them is contracted by tensile force at the time of drawing motion of the cable 30, and accordingly, a burden due to tensile force working on the cable 30 and a suspension spring 17 is reduced, and effect of the spring is favourable and efficient to make it carry out smooth drawing motion.
