PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the flying speed of an ink drop having an extremely small volume. SOLUTION: A microdot driving pulse DP2 comprises a first charging element P1 for pulling a meniscus to the pressure chamber side in a nozzle opening while keeping the curved state under steady state by reducing pressure in the pressure chamber gradually, a second charging element P2 for locally pulling the central part of the meniscus pulled by the first charging element P1, and a first discharging element P4 for increasing pressure in the pressure chamber at the timing of the central part of meniscus pulled by the second charging element P2 and moving in the direction of delivery by reaction.
