Use of one or more unsymmetrically substituted s-triazine derivatives in cosmetic or dermatological preparations for preventingthe washing out or washing off, caused by the action of water, of endogenous skin cis- and trans-urocanic acid from human skin orthe washing out or washing off, caused by the action of water, of cis- and trans-urocanic acid applied artificially to the skin from human skin.
