PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oral cavity composition that inhibits the activity of a protease produced by Gram-negative strictly anaerobic bacteria and increases antibacterial action on Fusobacterium nucleatum as, a kind of the Gram-negative strictly anaerobic bacteria and can prevent periodontal diseases and foul breath. SOLUTION: The objective oral cavity composition comprises the combination of one or two or more kinds of plant extracts from plants selected from the group consisting of plants, for example, astragalus root, gum tragacanth, Pterocarpus indicus Willd, Chinese quince, copaiba, Sophora angustifolia, Sophora japonica, fatacia, Caesalpinia sappan, Pueraria thunbergiana, a plant resembling allowroot and pronoused as gaukurua with one or two or more kinds of chemicals selected from the group consisting of 3-methyl-5-phenyl-1- pentanol, 11-dodecenic acid, 4-mthyl-4-decanolide, undecanoic acid and capric acid that inhibit foul-generating bacteria, for example, those decomposing methionine to form methyl mercaptan. |
