PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing at low cost square Sushi (vinegard rice with ingredient) sandwiches of high commodity value having appearance like a sandwich food. SOLUTION: This method comprises the following process: a loose-square Norimaki (cooked vinegard rice rolled in laver) 1 is formed by a primary press of a sheet-like laver 5 in a loose-square fashion on the outer periphery of an upper cooked rice mass 3 and a lower cooked rice mass 4 by which an ingredient 2 is sandwiched, and then put to a secondary press in a more perfectly square fashion to form a square Norimaki 8, which, in turn, is cut parallel into three pieces, four pieces, or the like, in the cross direction at specified intervals to obtain the objective square Sushi sandwiches. |
