PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing elastomer and a vulcanizing composition capable of giving a vulcanized product having a low glass transition temperature and especially excellent freeze resistance of the level of -40 deg.C and useful as a sealing material for the fuel system of automobile. SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing elastomer has a copolymer composition comprising 50-85 mol% fluorinated vinylidene and 15-50 mol% perfluoro(2- methoxypropyl vinyl ether) and has a number-average molecular weight of 8,000-500,000 and a weight-average molecular weight of 20,000-1,000,000.
