PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper or plastic shopping bag as a product with a high quality impression wherein the paper or plastic shopping bag can be folded without folding its bottom toward the front or rear face, no crease appears on the front or rear face, and an elaborate plan can be devised in color or design by using a different texture on side faces. SOLUTION: The shopping bag comprises a main bag body formed by folding a square or rectangular front face, a rear face of the same shape and same size as those of the front face, a bottom face so that they stand in an upward U-shape, and side faces integrally stuck to both right and left sides of the main body. Center creases are provided on the bottom face and the right and left side faces over a full length at respective centers so that they fold inward. Pasting pieces are connected with both sides of the side face, and a base end piece is connected with a lower end thereof. In addition, a triangular folding pad with the base end piece is formed on a lower part of the side face, thereby attaining the purpose.
